HAAVAT have been around for a few months, haven’t played much yet but released their demo just yesterday.
Containing one member from a crusty gang DEVIATED INSTINCT on guitar you might expect more crust assault in HAAVAT … but no! HAAVAT play punk, sometimes a bit chaotic d-beat punk especially when female vocals sung in Finnish arrive. There is melody to it and punk anger as well. There are tempo changes within songs as well as you get fast and slow songs in full.
HAAVAT means “wound” in Finnish and this is what their lyrics reflect, the sorrow and hopelessness of life on this planet.
Definitely a band to have your eye on.
